How to Fish Boat Stuck: Push It Back into the Water
If a boat you could previously drive is resting on the shore, step off, select your bare fists and punch a hull corner toward the water. Board again once it floats. If you have never unlocked the boat, or it disappeared after loading, use the different checks below.

| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The visible hull is sitting on sand or rock; it drove before. | Use the physical push steps below. |
| You are on the first island and have never obtained boat access. | Finish the Lighthouse hand-in; punching does not complete the quest. |
| The boat or other progress is missing after a reload. | Protect the save and inspect the loaded state. A pushing trick cannot restore a missing object. |
Push a beached boat back into the water
- Leave the wheel and step onto land. Move beside the stranded hull so you can hit it directly.
- Equip bare fists. The documented method uses punches, not a new engine, lure or explosive.
- Start at a corner. Face toward a clear route into the water and use the attack input. With default mouse controls, this is left-click.
- Watch the hull move. Continue from the accessible corner until it is off the terrain. There is no verified universal hit count.
- Board and try Drive again. The demonstrated keyboard prompt is Drive [E]. If the hull still catches the shore, get off and push it farther before retrying.
The corner technique is documented in AllThings. How’s August 24 walkthrough, illustrated from Ditech Gaming. It is a specific remedy for beaching; this site has not tested every collision or later build.
No Boat Key on the first island?
Check whether you delivered the Spider Crab Shell to the Lighthouse quest giver after defeating the crab. In an original August 20–26 player thread, the stranded player later identified the missed shell hand-in. The same thread independently reports moving the boat by punching it, but doing so did not replace the quest.
Use the Boat Keys and Radar progression checks if access or the next destination is the problem. Do not buy equipment at random to solve a missing hand-in.
If the hull still will not move
First confirm that you are actually moving the visible boat, rather than trying to recover a disappeared boat or unlock an unused one. Note the island, where the hull touches the terrain, and whether other players see the same position. These observations help separate a collision from a session problem.
If interaction is frozen or a reload changed your progress, use the troubleshooting guide. Preserve a dated backup before file-level changes. A forced restart, save deletion or an explosion is not part of the documented push method.
