Match rod + lure
Free, Beginner, Standard, Professional, and Scientific Lures each have their own catch pool. Reaching a later island does not automatically replace the lure you need.
49 normal entries · 5 island pools · local tracker
Use the rod and lure first, then check the island or special trigger. This database covers 38 regular catches and 11 bosses or special creatures, with separate browser checkboxes for normal and Drip entries.
For regular creatures, the rod and lure usually determine what can appear. The island column is the usual progression or hunting area for that equipment tier.
Free, Beginner, Standard, Professional, and Scientific Lures each have their own catch pool. Reaching a later island does not automatically replace the lure you need.
Boss Lures and story creatures need the right item and location. Tuna, Modified Leech, Carrot, Fish Bucket, and other quest items are not interchangeable.
Sources report that Drip variants use the same catch pool as the normal creature. A normal catch and its Drip version still occupy separate collection progress.
Your checkmarks stay in this browser only. Nothing is sent to a server, and clearing browser storage removes the saved state.

Search by creature name, filter by the usual island pool, then use the trigger column to avoid wasting a lure on a story encounter.

Use the blank slot in the in-game encyclopedia as the final authority for your current version.
Open the encyclopedia and note the creature name, not just a broad memory such as “a crab” or “a whale.” Similar names can be separate entries: Pike and The Old Pike, Piranha and Giant Piranha, or Bowhead Whale and Mutated Bowhead Whale.
For a regular catch, equip the listed rod and lure. Changing islands without changing an incorrect lure may not change the available catch pool. Some early creatures, including Pike and Goldfish, are reported in more than one regular pool.
If the entry is marked Boss / special, stop cycling normal lures. Travel to the listed island and use the Boss Lure or story item shown in the table. Keep quest-related catches until the related hand-in or encounter is finished.
After the normal row is complete, continue using its same rod, lure, or special trigger for the Drip slot. Do not treat the normal checkbox as proof that the Fishipedia Drip entry is complete.
The current cross-source count is 49 normal entries: 38 regular catches and 11 bosses or special creatures. Drip variants are a separate 49-entry collection layer in the encyclopedia.
Regular creatures are primarily determined by the rod and lure you use. The island column shows the usual progression or hunting area for that pool, not a guaranteed exclusive spawn location. Bosses and story creatures remain tied to their listed area and trigger.
Public guide sources report that Drip variants use the same rod, lure, or special trigger as their normal counterparts. The exact appearance behavior is gameplay-sensitive, so this page does not claim a fixed rate or guaranteed number of casts.
Early public lists do not agree on every creature label or grouping. This table follows the 38-regular plus 11-special structure cross-checked from the current sources listed below. If your in-game encyclopedia uses a different label, follow the exact current in-game slot and treat the alternate name as a version or source-label discrepancy.
Checked August 28, 2026. The 49-entry structure and catch-pool rules were cross-checked against the official Steam store description plus the public guides from Mobalytics, GamesHub, and Whisper of the House. A community roundup was used only as supporting context.
Regular locations are shown as the usual island or equipment pool, not as guaranteed exclusive coordinates. Exact drop rates, fixed spawn positions, guaranteed Drip timing, and hands-on gameplay results are not claimed here. Public lists can use different English labels, so check the current in-game Tab encyclopedia when a name or slot conflicts.
